The Reno Swing Set has been together for about 6 years and has played all over Northern Nevada, Northern California and Utah. They have an eclectic repertoire of Acoustic Music that includes Originals, Gypsy Jazz, Swing, Western Swing, Dawg Music, Bluegrass, and Celtic styles . With their unique musical backgrounds, they bring a fresh approach to their music that is enjoyed by all audiences. Reno Swing Set instrumentation includes Guitars, Mandolins, Flute, Sax’s, Penny Whistle, and Acoustic Bass.

The Reno Swing Set members are: Bill McKean--Guitars, Michael Madan--Mandolin, Jon Anderson--Flute, Sax, Pennywhistle and percussion, and Linda Madan--Acoustic Upright Bass.
Reno Swing Set has decades of combined experience in a number of different groups and bands. Bill with local bluegrass bands Strange on The Range and the Moonlight Hoodoo Revue; Jon with Guitar Woody and the Boilers; Mike with the local bluegrass band Grassland Road (with Steve Spurgin and Charlie Edsall) and Mark Cosgrove and Good Medicine (Mark is currently touring with David Bromberg), Mike and Linda with a bunch of east coast folks including John Carlini, (John worked with David Grisman, Tony Rice, Don Steirnberg), Beppe Gambetta--World renown Italian Flatpicker, and John Kirk and Trish Miller in a collaborative band….Crosstown Quickstep.
Last year Reno Swing Set cut our first CD ‘Crossing the Truckee’. The title tune is an original along with D’No. The rest of the CD covers their love of Acoustic Music including tunes and songs from Django Reinhardt, Bob Dylan, Riders in The Sky, David Grisman and traditional tunes. Crossing the Truckee’ is available on all the streaming platforms, including Pandora, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, You Tube, etc. The CD has been downloaded and streamed thousands of times all over the world including Australia, Tasmania, France, England, Singapore, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Russia and New Zealand.
